Generating Chaos: Timberwolves win 122 - 104 over the Clippers

This game got off to a lightning quick start. The first half was only an hour long, which is surprising considering the Clippers had ~15 turnovers at that time. The Clippers did manage to cut a once 24 point lead to 12 at the 9 minute mark of the 4th quarter, but a McDaniels 3 and Prince layup stalled their comeback. And once again, Anthony Edwards closes the game out. Full list of highlights and compliments below!

Highlights

- I am shocked Oprah Winfrey wasn't at the game handing out turnovers considering the Clippers were giving them away for free (sorry, there will be bad jokes like this all the time). In total the Clippers had 20 in the game. They took better care of the ball in the second half, but the damage was done in the first half.

- Naz Reid got off to a hot start, essentially picking up where he left off the previous night by going 4-4 in the 1Q. Nowell also continued to play well, hitting some contested buckets. Not to mention this little jamsky

- Vando is a freak in the nicest way possible. I could watch him play all day. The energy he brings makes me want to jump up to do the dishes or fold the laundry. And the energy on the closeouts with these guys is infectious. I saw Nowell try to bunny hop from the key to the three point line to contest a shot (it missed). The only player I think who could actually make that leap is Giannis, but I love Nowell for even trying it. Patrick Beverly did Pat Bev things again. At one point in the 4th he drew a foul, got it reviewed by the refs for a flagrant, and dapped up Steve Ballmer 🐐 I think Dane Moore said it perfectly here where Beverly and Vando are able to generate chaos. I think it should be a unique stat the Timberwolves start measuring. Thoughts?

Individual Callouts:

- Anthony Edwards with another efficient shooting night. 11-17 FG, 5-10 3PT. It felt like we didn't hear much from him until crunch time, but he was definitely there.

- Pat Bev had a season high in assists with 12 (9 at halftime). In a night there were only 9 Timberwolves FT's, Bev got 5 of them.

- McDaniels had a season high 4 triples and 18 points off the bench. His last 3 was incredibly clutch as it stopped a Clipper 8-0 run in a minute.

Looking Ahead:

- Wolves start a slew of games where they could go 5-0, but definitely 4-1. They get Kat and D-Lo back in time for a home and home series with OKC before playing Houston, New Orleans, and Memphis on the road.
